About Us
The very first MP Micromanometer sold was on 11th October 1982, model MP5KD. It was a digital instrument. At that time MP5KA analogue instrument was also in production.
After a period of time it was quickly established that digital instruments were more in demand.
A year later a new model appeared on the scene, MP3KDS. This instrument not only measured pressure but also measured velocity in m/sec with the aid of a pilotstatic tube which was a real bonus to the HVAC industry.
In 1987 the auto zero micromanometer appeared on the market, which meant that the instrument will zero even when pressure was applied to the instrument and it was a runaway success.
By this stage all the MP range of instruments were exported all over the world and supplied to customers such as:
- ALNOR
- BP
- BSRIA
- Esso
- HVAC Engineers
- Neotronics
- Pharmaceuticals
- Universities
These instruments were manufactured in Oxford, England. Sadly in 1991 the manufacturing of these instruments ended and two new companies emerged: DP Measurement and Associated Instruments Repairs.
DP Measurement
DP Measurement started operating from the same site from where MP Instruments were made.
DP Measurement was set up in August 1991. With the know how of the MP Range of Micromanometers and a demand on the market. It was clearly established that a simple but effective and a quality instrument would satisfy this requirement. Hence an AP Series of Micromanometers was launched in late 1991. This particular model fulfilled the demand but there was still room for improvement. Hence the new model the TT Series, was launched in 1996.
The primary object of this particular models is:
- Simple to use
- Portable
- Can be used as a wall mounted or pressure transmitter
- Bi-lingual
- Can be orientated at any angle and not alter the calibration of the instrument
- Accurate readings at low pressures, high pressures and velocities. Over the course of time this particular model has now proved various markets not only in the United Kingdom but also in Europe and globally.
Associated Instrument Repairs
Associated Instrument Repairs, established in August 1991, started operations from a garden shed. The primary object of the company was to provide a service in sales, calibration and repair of instruments.
Calibration /Certification and Repair Service:
It was established early on that traceability to National Standards was going to be one of the key points. In order to achieve this a very simple and effective method was needed. Using very fundamental principles of physics and other scientific data makes this possible. Our policy has always been that the instrument has its initial checks. These checks will highlight if any kind of repair is needed. Upon these results the instrument is then forwarded to the next stage. Even during calibration procedure the instrument is checked out thoroughly.
Sales of new instruments / consumables and Sales after service:
From the above service it was evident that sales and consumables fulfil the customers requirements. Hence a range of instruments was added to our portfolio. The suppliers of these instruments were carefully chosen so as to give the final customer satisfaction that the instruments purchased would be from very reputable manufacturers.
